Introduction
Tokyo Ghoul is a dark fantasy manga series, which was written by Sui Ishida. It was also adapted into an anime which started airing in 2014. The story is set in the alternate universe in which the ghouls look just like regular people, but cannot survive without eating them. The ghouls live among humans, but they have to hide from the authorities who hunt them. They have supernatural powers such as the power of regeneration and super strength, and they are also immune to piercing weapons. They also have a special organ named kagune, which can be used as a weapon in combat.
Tokyo Ghoul Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
We have all seen the movies and heard stories about brave dogs who save people trapped in the avalanche. They are selfless, brave, and they help us, humans, when we need them the most, when the world seems like it’s ending and when we do not see a way out. One of those brave and heroic dogs is the lovely Kaya, who, alongside her owner Lori Spence, helps locate the people trapped in the mountains, especially after the avalanche. Together, they work for the Avalanche Rescue Program.
During the skiing season, Kaya and her human are responsible for the well-being of, on average, two thousand people per day in Aspen. Kaya is one of the three doggos employed for the purpose of locating lost mountaineers and unfortunate people trapped in the avalanche, and she is one talented and skilled pup. She can search a thirty by the thirty-meter parameter of deep snow in less than twenty minutes, which is a talent not a lot of dogs can be proud of! In comparison, a human would need three or four hours to do the same thing Kaya does in 20 minutes!
The Ski Patrol Director Mac Smith says that Kaya and other dogs in Aspen are an integral part of the team who make their jobs so much easier and way more successful. Kaya is a highly trained air-scenting doggo whose main talent is detecting a human scent from over four hundred meters away. Now that is impressive! If a victim is buried under the piles of snow caused by the avalanche, and if they don’t have a transmitter or their transmitter is simply not functional, Kaya and her friends are that person’s best chance of survival. Kaya is able to find a buried human faster than one hundred people can if they search the same area.
Kaya did not get to the position she is in by a stroke of luck. She and other puppers had intensive training, and they were carefully selected because they showed specific abilities and talents other dogs did not possess. Kaya comes from the line of field dogs, which gives her a unique genetic ability to trace and search for missing things. And even though she is a super serious pupper with an important job, she is still incredibly cute and cuddly and loves to be cozy and warm, and just enjoy herself with her family.
Tokyo Ghoul Inspired Dog Name Considerations
Yes, we know, it is incredibly hard to pick just one name for your pup with so many choices out there. All Tokyo Ghoul fans generally have at least a couple favorite characters, so making a selection and sticking with only one name can be a bit of a pickle. However, you can always start with the main cast and then move on to the supporting characters. Or, you can look at your doggy, get to know them a little bit, and then match their personality to the personality of your Tokyo Ghoul character. You have a lot of options to choose from, so finding that perfect moniker will be easier than you originally thought.
For the sake of argument, you can always choose a neutral but pretty name for your princess such as Hinami, after Hinami Fueguchi, member of Kaneki’s ghoul group. Her name is cute, easy to remember, and perfect for your lovely dog with lashes that makes beauty influencers blush. Another fantastic option is the name, Ken, after Ken Kaneki, a student who got transformed into a one-eyed ghoul called Eyepatch. Even Eyepatch can be a perfect name, especially for a Jack Russel Terrier with a cute patch on their eye.
