The Terminal Inspired Dog Names

The film The Terminal boats a rather impressive list of actors in its cast, including the likes of Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Stanley Tucci. While Tom Hanks is undoubtedly a huge draw to the movie, Zeta-Jones is also a powerhouse herself. As a child, she has taken on roles in various West End productions such as Bugsy Malone and Annie. She landed her breakthrough role in the 1987 production of 42^nd Street.

Zeta-Jones then went on to make a name for herself in Hollywood when she starred in the films The Mask of Zorro and Entrapment. However, it was her performance for the 2002 musical Chicago that received critical acclaim and won her several awards, including a BAFTA Award and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Since then, Zeta-Jones has been starred in several other successful Hollywood films. She has also received multiple accolades and praise for her humanitarian endeavors.

When not shooting films or doing outreach work, Zeta-Jones likes to spend time with her family. This includes her husband, actor Michael Douglas, and their two children. Another beloved member of their family, one that is often seen with Zeta-Jones herself, is Figaro. The spoiled, four-legged beauty is a Coton de Tulear who is a frequent companion of Zeta-Jones.

The regal dog joined the family in 2009, when Zeta-Jones temporarily relocated to New York City. This was done so that the actress could rehearse frequently for her role in the Broadway play Little Serenade. As a way to make up to her children and help them fight boredom, she bought them a dog, whom they named Figaro. While the little pooch was intentionally meant to be the kids’ playmate, it seems that the actress is the one who has developed a close bond with Figaro and spends more time with him. In fact, they are often photographed together by paparazzi.

There are also reports that the pooch is considered royalty in the family. Figaro also reportedly receives special treatment not just from his owner but also from other people. One such instance was during a Broadway play where Zeta-Jones stars in; Figaro was allowed to go inside to watch his master after management made an exception. It is said that Figgy, as he is sometimes playfully called, is also a celebrity of his own and is well-loved by the people that he encounters. Aside from his adorable looks, the pooch is also very affectionate and friendly. He is also part of Zeta-Jones’ entourage whenever she arrives or goes out to meet-and-greets with fans.
