In the world of demons and dark angels, you can never be too careful when it comes to trusting those around you. Clary Fray, the heroine of the Mortal Instruments Series found this out the hard way. When we first meet Clary, she is unaware of the world that her mother, Jocelyn Fray, was once a part of. They are simply living their lives, clueless to the secrets that lay in wait for them. Unfortunately, (but fortunately for us readers) the secrets do not remain hidden and Clary comes home one day to find her home ransacked and her mother missing. Waiting to attack her is a demon left behind by the evil Valentine Morgenstern, who Clary must then attack using only her wits and a device left behind by a Shadowhunter. While in the book version, the demon is in its original form, the movie spins things a little bit differently and portrays the demon (known as a Ravener) in the form of a dog. The breed used for the gig of a Ravener demon is the Rottweiler. Most likely the Rottweiler was chosen due to their muscular forms, intense eyes, and low growl; not to mention their strong personalities. Although we love the Rottweiler breed, there is no doubt that we wouldn't want to meet one that was a Ravener.
