For some time, Peter Quill and his original Guardians team operated from Knowhere. As a result, the team got Cosmo involved with many of their adventures. One example was when he and the other members of the Guardians bounced around the time stream in order to prevent “The Fault”, a tear in the universe, from destroying all of reality. In this scenario, Cosmo turned into a puppy for a temporary period before reverting back to his old self.
