Introduction
The Fault in our Stars Dog Names In Pop Culture
He learned that his significance was not reliant on leaving an impact on society. In return, he brought Hazel back to life. The two of them brought out the best in each other. Even though Hazel had to carry on without him, she found that she was stronger thanks to him. He taught her, and the reader, that they should go out and make the most out of our time on earth. There is always an occasion for a massive gesture and that you get to choose how you go through life. Bad things, like cancer, happen but we don't have to lose ourselves.
This fighting spirit and endearing optimism were shared by another Augustus. This Augustus was found wandering the streets of Chicago. He was so emaciated that you could count his ribs and vertebrae. To make things worse, he seemed to have been subjected to chemical burns. His hair was falling off and he had sores all over his body. He didn't give up though. He would continue fighting with everything he had. That is how the Trio Animal Foundation (TAF) found him. The foundation took him in and immediately started caring for him. He was injured, starving and very tired, but he was determined not to give up.
Despite the trauma he had been through, Augustus decided to trust the vets. The vets made sure that they were worthy of that trust and did their best to save him. They had to race against the clock since he was fighting multiple diseases and infections. In fact, there was a public plea to put him down and out of his misery. Neither Augustus nor the TFA was ready to give up yet. Augustus started recovering slowly, and it was an uphill battle, but today Augustus is a healthy and lively dog who can live without fear too.
