Everybody enjoys a day at the beach, right? In fact, popular culture has taught us that the beach is THE vacation destination for Americans on summer vacation. In 2013, Disney released a musical movie titled Teen Beach Movie starring Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell. The movie tells the story of Brady and McKenzie, a couple who are about to break up over the fact that they will be attending different schools which are very far apart. Brady of Teen Beach Movie is portrayed by Ross Lynch, a popular Disney actor. (He was also one of the lead character of the hit Disney series Austin and Ally.) Brady is Mack's love interest. When Mack reveals that she is about to attend a private boarding school and feels she must break up with Brady, the heartbroken teen reveals that he wants to go surfing with her one last time. While the two are surfing, they are swept away and end up landing on a nearby island. This island appears to be the same one in the Wet Side Story musical movie which the couple had been watching just prior to the final surf outing. Once Brady and Mack arrive on the island, the lead female character from Wet Side Story decides that she is in love with Brady rather than her original love interest, Tanner. Eventually, Brady and Mack will find their way back to one another, but not without a great adventure!

In 2017, a dog bound to fly out of the Tampa International Airport broke out of its crate before it could be loaded on the appropriate flight. Brady, as the dog was nicknamed, escaped on the tarmac at the busy airport. For two weeks, no one saw the missing pup. Miraculously, Brady was found two weeks later. He was taken to a local vet and received treatment at the Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital near the airport. Surprisingly, Brady was found at the airport. Apparently, he found a place to hunker down away from the noise of the planes and the bustling crowds. Brady was given a clean bill of health, but he did have to have some surgical procedures in order to heal properly.

Two pups with the Brady moniker are Internet famous. One pup, Braidy (yes, there is a reason for the odd spelling) is a PomaPoo (a Pomeranian and a miniature Poodle mix) designer dog. He is a spoiled pooch belonging to the "Cute Girls Hairstyles" family. Hence, Braidy changed the spelling of his name to fit his cosmetologist owners' lifestyle. Along with his canine sibling Ash, the two are featured regularly on their owners' Instagram page. A final Brady is the eight-year-old Shih Tzu whose Facebook page was created so that he could share his adventures with the world. This Brady is an Atlanta, Georgia native where he lives with his pet parent, Christina.

While many dogs enjoy playing in the water (and mud, if given the opportunity), some breeds are born for time in the water. The Standard Poodle, generally known for their appearance in the circus or the show ring as well as their unique hairstyles, was actually bred to hunt and to bring in prey from the water. The English Setter is another dog that is not necessarily known for their affinity for the water, but this active dog loves to dive off in a pond or the river. The Newfoundland is a breed that is not readily associated with the water, but they are a very apt swimmer.
