Introduction
Shaman King Inspired Dog Names In Pop Culture
Such is the case with Johann Faust - a brilliant doctor who became a Necromancer after a series of great tragedies afflicted his life. It's through one of these tragedies that our Featured Famous Shaman King dog, Frankensteiny, came to be. Ah, but we're getting ahead of ourselves a bit - before we can talk about Frankensteiny's exploits after life, we need to spend some time discussing the dog's exploits during it. The dog that would become Frankensteiny was born a normal Manchester Terrier. As you've probably already guessed, Frankensteiny was named after the characters from Merry Shelly's classic cryptic tale - something that would prove to be a mismatch, as both of the Frankensteins from Shelly's original tale were heartless monsters in their own right.
By all accounts, Frankensteiny was a very friendly and loving dog. While it's not clear when the dog came under the care of Johann and Eliza, it is known that the dog loved the both of them dearly and accompanied them ever since their first marriage. Unfortunately for the Manchester Terrier, he wouldn't be able to remain by his family's side for long as he passed away at the age of four. Eliza would soon follow in Frankensteiny's footsteps, meeting an untimely end rather abruptly and leaving Johann Faust all by himself. Faust wouldn't remain alone for long though, as death is merely the beginning of something much grander in the Shaman King universe.
Indeed, it was only after Frankensteiny's and Eliza's untimely ends that Johann Faust's powers as a Necromancer manifested. Once they did, Faust was able to resurrect Frankensteiny as a skeletal hound and Eliza as a specter. Frankensteiny and Eliza would go on to serve as Faust's guardian spirits - aiding him in battle and helping the physically handicapped doctor get around from point A to point B with relative ease.
