San Andreas Inspired Dog Names

They make their way to Coit Tower before a significant earthquake hits, and Ollie’s brother is injured. Ollie keeps a cool head and is one of the primary problem solvers in this group. He may only be young, but he’s intelligent, calm, collected, and makes it out of the earthquakes alive.

Ollie is also the name of an Australian Sheep Dog and Australian Kelpie in the 1952 book and 1960 film The Sundowners. The movie follows an Australian outback family with a father who wants to continue with his nomadic lifestyle and outback ways and a family who want to settle down. The man’s wife and son Sean both want to make a go of life in one place.

Ollie is an Australian Shepherd in the book and a Kelpie in the movie. He’s Sean’s placid farm dog and seems to fit in well with whatever scenario they put him in. The dog’s main traits are loyalty and calmness, and the pooch is always there for Sean when he needs him. What’s more, he’s a helpful farm dog that does whatever he can for whoever needs help.

The movie is quite slow in its plot, with no real action. All you primarily focus on is the gentle struggle going on between the wife and son and the father who wants to continue moving from one property to the next – getting work where he can.

Ollie in The Sundowners has a similar disposition to Ollie from San Andreas. Both the human and dog version are lovable, intelligent, calm, and will go to the ends of the earth for those they love – in the face of all adversity.
