Pretty Woman Inspired Dog Names

Edward Lewis is a man who does not have time for romance. His life revolves around his work. It is not surprising, considering Edward's childhood. Edward's parents divorced when he was young, and his mother was left to raise Edward with much financial difficulty. It is likely this life event that drives Edward to seek success in the business world. It also makes him leery of finding love, but, when Edward meets Vivian, things change. He can't help but be taken by her sweet nature and her love of life. Fortunately, Vivian's zeal for living is what breaks down Edward's walls and prompts him to fall in love again. 

When considering dogs named Edward, or, in this case, Eddie, one cannot deny the star quality of Eddie, the Jack Russell Terrier who played a furry antagonist on the hit television show, Frasier. Eddie belonged to Frasier's father, Marty. Due to his declining health, Marty moves in with Frasier. Of course, part of that package is Eddie. Eddie seems to know that his very presence aggravates Frasier, who is concerned with being a part of upper class society. Eddie and Marty represent more of the blue-collar society that Frasier seems to detest. One of the running jokes of the television show involved Eddie tilting his head to simply stare at Frasier, which seemed to infuriate Frasier. Eddie also possessed a loud bark, and while he did not bark to excess, when Eddie wanted attention, he would use his bark to almost speak to those around him. Finally, Eddie was known for his ability to jump rather high. One episode featured Frasier on a date and Eddie jumping into the air behind a sliding glass door. (The joke involved Frasier attempting to keep his date from noticing the adorable pooch.) In reality, Frasier did care for Eddie because he knew what the dog meant to his father. 

Eddie was played by a Jack Russell Terrier named Moose. Moose had been surrendered by his original owners who could not deal with Moose's boisterous behavior. Moose was adopted by a trainer, who would eventually take him to try out for the role of Eddie. Moose was a hit, and he played the part until he retired. Moose's son took over the part upon his retirement.
