Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen Dog Names

In 2015, the community of Hope Primary School admitted a new member in their staff - and they have been in love ever since. Dexter, the son of the winner of the Crufts Dog Competition as Best in Show 2013, is an employee at the school as a therapy dog in training.

The presence of Dexter has been much appreciated by the school, and has helped students and teachers alike in their day to day activities. His immense popularity is seeing some positive effects in the community. Dexter started off his career at Hope Primary to help children read. The headmaster read some research on dogs becoming helpful in the learning process. This led to their confidence that Dexter is just what the school needs.

The hound helps the students out on both emotional and social issues. Shy children become more confident in their reading skills after their reading practice with him. Upset children become comforted upon spending time and cuddling with him. Playing with Dexter has become one of the favorite past times of some students. The values of responsibility and sharing with others are important auxiliary lessons they learn from spending time with Dexter, too. He has become a valuable member at the school, leveling up their success in teaching children. Dexter has helped the teachers themselves reach the goal of teaching each student in a pace that is comfortable for each child.

Dexter is also treated very well at the school. He goes home every day with the deputy head teacher, getting the well deserved rest that he needs before another day of work. He gets his daily exercise and stays in good health for his job. This adorable and industrious dog will soon have an impressive resume, we are sure!

Dexter's story tells us of the enormous benefit we get when we adopt dogs into our daily life. This Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen was more than just a cute face in the hallways. He became real emotional support and encouraged happiness in others. This not only goes for the young schoolchildren of Primary Hope, but for its adult staff as well. Dexter is an all-around hero, and has inspired other schools to adopt their own dog staff as well!
