When evening comes, Napoleon starts to get scared of being on his own. In the forest, he meets a mopoke who tells him about the perils of being in the wild, which Napoleon ignores. After encountering and being chased by a crazy cat, he is saved by the same mopoke he met earlier, who tells him that the cat will not rest until he gets his revenge. The next day, Napoleon crosses path with Birdo once more, who teaches him how to survive in the wild. Soon enough, the two become friends and help each other in the forest. Eventually, however, they had to part ways as Birdo rejoins his flock while Napoleon goes on to look for the wild dogs.

After days of searching, he encounters two puppies, one of which he saves from a flood. The puppies’ mother lets Napoleon live with them. After coming to a realization that the wild life is not what he wants, he leaves the dogs and finds the beach where he landed. Unknowingly, he is pursued by the cat and a fight ensues with him pushing the cat off the cliff. The film ends with Birdo finding Napoleon and taking him back to his home and his mother agreeing to change his name from Muffin to Napoleon.
