Introduction
London Has Fallen is a 2016 action political thriller film that stars Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart. Directed by Babak Najafi, it is the follow-up film to the 2013 film Olympus Has Fallen. Butler reprises his role as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who is tasked to lead the security detail of United States President Benjamin Asher while he makes a visit to London. During this overseas trip, where several other Western leaders were present, a terrorist attack was orchestrated and it is up to Banning to find the people responsible for the attacks. The film premiered on March 4, 2016 and was a success commercially, earning around $205 million worldwide. The success of the film also led to the development of a third film, entitled Angel Has Fallen.
London Has Fallen Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
London Has Fallen is an action-packed film which stars Gerard Butler in the lead role as Mike Banning. In the film, Banning is a Secret Service agent fighting to protect the United States President while looking for the terrorists that staged a series of attacks in London. Since he started acting in Hollywood, Butler has been involved in several action films and is no stranger to this genre. In fact, he has been in roles that involved a lot of physicality. In fact, he is widely considered as one of the most “badass” guys in Hollywood. But, despite his tough guy persona, not a lot of people know that Butler has a really soft side, especially when it comes to dogs!
Gerard Butler is not only famous for being an A-list celebrity but also as a certified dog lover. He has professed his love for canines on many occasions and has been photographed numerous times with his dogs. He also personally posts several photos of his furbabies on his personal social media accounts. He also frequently shares about his late Pug, named Lolita, whom he talked about in an interview with Seth Meyers. In the interview, he states that before adopting Lolita, he had not considered her size and that it looked really when they were photographed out together, given that he is so big (Butler is 6ft 2in tall) while Lolita is really tiny. Nevertheless, he loves his Pug and they lived a lovely life together until Lolita passed away.
Out of all of Butler’s dogs, however, perhaps the one that most people remember, thanks to a lovely background story, named Shushka. The story of Shushka came to light in 2017, when Gerard Butler posted a picture of himself and the pooch on his Instagram and Twitter accounts. The actor was shooting a film in the mountains of Bulgaria, which is where he met his future furbaby. According to him, Shushka is a stray dog that he encountered and immediately “stole his heart”. Knowing that he cannot leave without Shushka, Butler made the necessary arrangements to take the pooch home with him.
The adorable photo, which is in black-and-white, shows Butler smiling while the wonderful Shushka snuggles up to him and appears to be smiling back at him. The photo has earned over 200,000 likes from his followers. In the caption, he states that he is thankful for the new dog in his life, who came at the right time as he recovered from a motorcycle incident, where he went 33 feet through the air, leaving him hospitalized.
London Has Fallen Inspired Dog Name Considerations
Choosing a dog name is a simple task but entails a lot of brainstorming and thoughtful consideration. After all, you would not want to give your dog a name that you think is cool right now but you will eventually hate in a few years. You should also think carefully about what your new dog’s name would be and make sure that it fits their look and personality.
When it comes to picking the name to give your dog, the first thing you would have to consider is how the name sounds when said out loud. Chances are you and your pooch will be spending a lot of time outdoors. Therefore, you will be calling out your dog’s name a lot, say in a dog park or the beach. You would not want to shout out a peculiar name that will get you weird looks from the people around. Instead, keep the name short and simple to understand; not only do you not want the name to sound nice, but your four-legged pal also needs to be able to recall the name easily, too.
For names based on the movie London Has Fallen, you can pick from any of the elements related to the film – from the names of cast, characters and crew members to the different references such as the places where the film was set.
