Introduction
Legion of Super-Heroes Dog Names In Pop Culture
The man that would become known across the galaxy as Timber Wolf was once a normal boy by the name of Brin Londo from the planet Zuun. Brin had the misfortune of having a mad scientist for a father and from a very early age, Brin was constantly and painfully experimented on by his own father in a delirious bid to transform his son into something more than a mere mortal. For years, Brin was picked and pulled apart on the molecule level, unable to break away from his father's torturous experiments and hesitant to raise a hand against his father, even in the name of self defense.
But eventually Brin's father, Dr. Mar Londo, picked away and pulled away so much of his son that barely anything was left of the boy he once was. After years of experimentation, Mar Londo had effectively replaced his son with a cold, calculating killing machine that was more beast than man. This beast didn't have any moral hangups whatsoever about doing what it needed to do to escape Mar Londo's twisted clutches and, with his new found strength, Brin was able to rise up against his father and break free from his ensnaring grasp.
While the exact details of Brin's escape or even the ultimate fate of Dr. Mar Londo are as mysteries in various iterations of the Legion's story line, what is known is that Brin would eventually join the prolific group's ranks by graduating from the Legion Academy. Though the damage done to Brin's psyche may very well be irreversible, the young man still struggles against his feral urges to use his beastly powers for good and fight intergalactic crime as the hero Timber Wolf. Sometimes called Lone Wolf, Timber has increased strength, speed, reflexes, agility, and a set of razor sharp claws on both hands.
Legion of Super-Heroes Dog Name Considerations
The three founders have since encountered many other brave individuals who help them in attaining that goal who all come from places both far and wide. One of those brave individuals is a member that dog owning fans of the Legion would do well to acquaint themselves with; the lupine hero Timber Wolf. While Timber Wolf's appearance often varies greatly depending on the artist who draws him, as well as the era he's drawn in. Timber Wolf often appears as a man with lupine features. As such, dogs that resemble wolves would be a great fit for the name Timber Wolf.
