Lockjaw

Remember when we mentioned that the Inhumans as a species consisted of ancient humans who were experimented on by the highly advanced Kree alien race? Well, we purposely didn't mention that the Kree also experimented on a number of animals because we wanted to surprise you with our Featured Famous Inhumans Dog Lockjaw... so, surprise! In truth, it's very unlikely that we surprised anyone who's even slightly familiar with the Inhumans as Lockjaw is almost always by his family members' sides through thick and thin. Lockjaw also kind of stands out, being a gigantic Bulldog with an antenna sticking out of his head. But wait, there's more; Lockjaw also possesses the incredible ability to teleport himself and others around him across vast distances of space almost instantly. This ability is an inherited gift, as he was able to pass it down to his son Puppy (more on this inventively named dog later).

Lockjaw is a fairly intelligent and capable dog who's considered to be a full-fledged member of the Inhumans team; his extraordinary strength and size, alongside his more benign powers, have allowed him to tussle with some of the Marvel Universe's more dangerous villains as well as easily transport approximately 3,600 pounds on his back. Lockjaw is also a supremely friendly and personable dog, which has helped him befriend many of the Earth's mightiest heroes almost as quickly as he can teleport from place to place. Of note, Lockjaw has affiliated himself with Ms. Marvel and the Fantastic Four on numerous occasions. It's with the Fantastic Four, however, that Lockjaw shares a special bond.

You see, as well as being a defender of the downtrodden and the royal pet of the Inhumans Royal Family, Lockjaw is also a parent! It was Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Susan Storm Richards, who discovered Lockjaw's son, Puppy, a while back. Like his father before him, Puppy is a unique dog who' s got the ability to teleport across vast distances of space very quickly. Since Puppy is, well, still a puppy his talents aren't as refined as Lockjaw's at the moment. But even with his powers not being up to snuff at the moment, Puppy has shown himself to be every bit as loyal to his Fantastic family as Lockjaw is to his Inhuman family. Puppy has also made the acquaintance of Spider-Man - a close friend to the Fantastic Four and Johnny Storm, Franklin's uncle.

Second only to the Fantastic Four, Marvel's First Family, the Inhumans superhero group serve as one of the most prominent families in the entire Marvel Universe.
