Introduction
Heroes Reborn Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
Hero is a pawpular name for a dog. Maybe it’s because most (if not all) pooches are heroes in their own way. In one way or another, our pups are always there for us, cheering us up when we are sad, making us laugh when we are angry, and calming us down when we are stressed out. But some doggos go out of their way to be heroic in other ways, doing things that make you think that they may actually be human, but with superpowers. Here are a couple of “tails” about two of them.
You may have heard stories about pupsters who dragged their owners out of burning homes or stopped a bad guy who was trying to rob a house, but it is not as often that you hear about a doggo that does what this one does. Our first Hero got his name at birth when he almost died and had to be revived by the veterinarian with CPR. They said he deserved to be named Hero because he was strong enough to survive.
But Hero was also a Hero in other ways. This adorable Rottweiler was a companion to an elderly lady who gave her a reason to live but she ultimately died of cancer and Hero stayed by her side even after she was gone. After that, Hero was placed in a shelter where he was lucky enough to be adopted by another lady named Heddie who decided to train him as a therapy dog. With Heddie by his side, Hero was able to help many people, and he brought joy to everyone he met.
Another dog named Hero was a small Greyhound mix who lived with a family in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The family of three adopted the cute little pooch from the Nassau Humane Society, and within two months, he proved to be a lifesaver and lived up to his name. It happened in the middle of the night one night when he started barking like crazy while everyone was sleeping. He usually sleeps in bed with their son, Weston, who has type one diabetes and he was sitting in the bed with the boy barking up a storm.
When the Murphys got into the room, they realized the boy’s insulin pump had stopped working, and his blood sugar was life-threateningly high. It seems that Hero must have noticed that the boy’s smell was different because when your sugar is high, you give off a smell sort of like nail polish remover, which are the ketones in the blood. However, Hero knew something was wrong; he saved Weston’s life because he would have been in a coma or worse by the time they woke up the next day.
Heroes Reborn Inspired Dog Name Considerations
After you choose your new furever friend, you’ll need to get some stuff to make your poochie feel more at home during the transition. For example, your pupster may need a cozy dog bed, some fun toys, crunchy bones to chew on, a leash and collar to go for walks, a veterinarian to care for your pup, and a name that fits them perfectly. To pick a moniker for your pooch, you can watch and see if they have any funny habits or quirks that may give you an idea. For example, if your pooch is a sweet little angel, you could name him or her Halo, if they are always happy, Jubilee would be cute, and if your doggo is always disappearing, you could name them Magic.
You may also want to give your furbaby a name that has to do with their appearance or breed such as Ice for a white dog or Raven for a black pup. Some of the actors from "Heroes Reborn" have some interesting names such as Toru, who plays Ren Shimosawa, which means sea and would be pawesome for a water dog. Kate, who plays Emily Duval, means pure and would be great for a white pupster. Here are some of our favorites.
