Get a Clue Inspired Dog Name Considerations

Just decided to get a new pooch? Congratulations! That is the first step to adding some light and happiness into your life. Regardless if it is your first or your fifth dog, the excitement of becoming a new furparent never dies. Along with the responsibilities of becoming a dog owner is the task of picking the right name to match your pooch.

Naturally, furparents want their dog’s names to sound cool and fun. However, some fail to remember that the name should sound great to both you and your pooch. This factor is important if you want your dog to learn how to respond to their name. This means going for short names (ideally no longer than two syllables) that produce clear and sharp sounds. It is important to choose a not-so-lengthy and clear-sounding name due to the simple fact that they are easier to remember and understand.

You should also go for a dog name that does not sound like everyday words and commands. This is to avoid any confusion on your dog’s part. For example, the name “Bo” rhymes with “no", a word often used when expressing a negative feeling.
