Funny Dog Names

So, it's no secret that Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, absolutely positively loves dogs, especially French Bulldogs. He loves them so much, he's even stopped in the middle of work to pet and laugh alongside puppies. But to him, there is only one dog that truly encapsulates "man's best friend," and that is his beloved French Bulldog, Hobbs. They are actively seen walking along the beach, riding in the car together and stretching at the gym. Hobbs even sits and guards the weights as Dwayne works out. When there's a lone weight left behind on the floor, there's Hobbs, ready to lick it because he can't lift what The Rock can.

But you know what? He's still a great spotter and companion. Even though he can't lift any weights, he does his little stretches, plays with his toys, and waits patiently for his next head pats and treats from his loving owner. The funniest thing ever though, is how Hobbs was trained. Let it be known, it was NOT easy. The Rock, who is known for being very open and funny in his social media accounts, once posted a video of Hobbs. 

In the video, Dwayne is seen saying "As you guys know, the relationship between a man and his pup is a very unique and special one." Then, the camera pans down to show Hobbs, lying on the grass, with a leash attached to his collar. Dwayne was trying to walk him, to train him, and Hobbs wasn't having any of it. In another video, he was trying again. Dwayne is seen saying "We gotta go buddy. Let's roll." And Hobbs? Lying on his back this time, on the grass, chewing on his harness with the goofiest grin you've ever possibly seen on a dog.

But you see, when you're the dog and best friend of one of the most famous and widely-recognized muscle heads known to mankind, you're bound to be trained eventually. And these days, Hobbs can be seen doing some pretty amazing things, most of which is at the gym. No surprise there. One of those amazing things? The pre-workout ritual, which consists of tug-o-war and fake mauling. 

Of course, mistake and accidents still happen from time to time, like when Hobbs was caught peeing on the gym floor. Or when he tried to eat Dwayne's size 15 shoes. Or better still, when he was so exhausted from playing with his presents on Christmas Day, that he couldn't bring himself to play with his barbell, known as the "Barkbell." How adorable!
