Fables Inspired Dog Names

As fans of the series have learned throughout the years, Bigby's early years were particularly rough; Bigby's father was the embodiment of the North Wind and his mother was a large white wolf known as Winter. For reasons that weren't exactly noble, the North Wind sired a litter of pups with Winter before abandoning her and their children. Winter cared for her litter to the best of her ability, but she ultimately passed away due to the harsh environment she and her pups had to endure. Bigby's siblings resolved to seek out their estranged father, having nowhere else and no one else to turn to. Bigby, on the other hand, resolved to stay by his deceased mother's side and guard her corpse until she could be given a proper burial. 

Bigby, however, was the runt of the litter, and he was unable to successfully defend his mother's corpse from the ravenous creatures that decided to feast on her remains. Hardened by the experience, Bigby resolved to devour whomever he crossed paths with until he was big enough to face his father and make him answer for abandoning his family. Over the span of many, many years Bigby consumed everything and everyone he encountered, ranging from human beings, entire towns, whole armies, and even a dragon. Indeed, as far as the Fables comics go, this was the reason why Bigby gained his reputation as the Big Bad Wolf. 

Once Bigby reached the gargantuan proportions he'd previously resolved to, he set out to exact revenge on his absentee father, once and for all, only to find himself unable to match the North Wind's incredible mastery of the elements. The North Wind flung Bigby away seven times, causing the Big Bad Wolf to fly across the sky for seven days before crashing back down to Earth. Bigby remained unfettered an tried to exact revenge on his father a total of seven times before he finally decided to leave the North Wind be, end his period of mourning for his mother, and set out to build a life of his own.
