Dog Names that Start with Oz

This Disney animated film, “Ozzy: The Fast and the Furriest,” was released in Spain and the U.K. in 2016 but never really became a hit in the United States. In the film, Ozzy is a furiendly and spoiled Beagle from a loving home who has his pampered life turned inside out when his family, the Martins, go on vacation and leave him in a top of the line doggy daycare spa called Blue Creek. The family visits the daycare and meets the owner, who shows them the sauna, massages, and high-quality amenities they have before they are convinced to leave Ozzy there. Even though the place is portrayed to be a furific and top-notch dog resort, the owner just pretends to treat the pups well, and it is really more like a doggy jail than a daycare. 

The real Blue Creek is a sweatshop atmosphere run by Warden Grunt and his mafia dogs and where there is a lot of violence and abuse. All Ozzy wants to do is go home, but he is trapped in Blue Creek and tormented by the top dawg, who insists that he is God. Even though it is not exactly a typical nice G-rated animated Disney film like “Winnie the Pooh,” if you think about it, all of the Disney animated films have a lesson in them such as Bambi’s mother getting shot by a hunter, Cruella stealing the 101 Dalmatians, Snow White being poisoned by an apple, and Cinderella being treated as a slave by her stepmother. 

In fact, Ozzy’s movie is more of a young adult film with all of the drama, violence, abuse, and cruelty to animals in the movie. While it does have a lesson behind it, which is to be careful where you take your pup, some critics believe that it was too dark for kids at all. There is a lot of humor in the film though, and Ozzy and his furiends Doc, Fronky, and Chester end up escaping the doggy prison, so it all turns out with a happy ending. There is just a bit more to it than that. For example, the family, including their little girl, is told that Ozzy died while they were on vacation. Also, there is a lot of doggy pooping, urinating, and burping going on in the movie. However, many who saw the film thought it was funny and heartwarming in the end.
