Dog Names Ending in zi

Mzombozi captured the headlines of newspapers and media agencies around the world in 2005. She lived with a family in a compound near Ngong Forest in Nairobi, but there was never enough food to go around. Her family gave her what they could, but she would scavenge near a racetrack in the poverty-stricken area to supplement it.

Mzombozi was no stranger to children. Her family had them, and she was always quite curious when they would cry. This point will become quite famous as this story of Mzombozi progresses!

During her regular scavenging trips for food, Mzombozi came across a two-day-old baby wrapped in rags near the Ngong Forest. She picked up the baby, crossed a busy road, and navigated traffic carrying the baby. She made her way back to her shack, where she was nursing puppies – many of which died.

Mzombozi tried to care for the baby on her own, but it wasn’t long until the dog’s family heard the cries of a baby near their shack and went out to investigate. Aggrey Mwalimu, the family’s mother, found the baby lying next to the dog.

Aggrey took the baby to the hospital, where she spent many weeks in intensive care. She was given the name of Angel, then Angela, when adopted by a loving family.

The journey wasn’t over for Mzombozi either. Her puppies unfortunately died, and the Kenya SPCA took her in. She didn’t want to be at the SPCA and tried to leave, but they bathed her, removed her ticks, and dewormed her. She was also heavy with milk, so the SPCA cared for her as much as they could.

Mzombozi began to enjoy her life at the SPCA. She got to relax, hang out with children, make new friends, and the SPCA adopted her as one of their own. She lived out her days sleeping in a soft bed, eating well, and educating school children about animal welfare.
