Introduction
Dog Names Ending in 'va' in Pop Culture
So, Amy (a member of The Dog Liberator Shelter) took on the challenge of rehabilitating Java. From the start, she did a test to see how Java would do around cats by taking the dog into a cat room at the shelter. Java couldn't have cared less about the cats, and instead spent her time attempting to get attention from the children visiting the cats; proving that she was very good with kids! This was just the first step in learning about how wonderful this sweet dog was. With lots of Benadryl to help with the itching and slowly working on feeding to help with weight gain, Java struggled slightly with getting comfortable in her new surroundings. Her hair started growing back slowly and the itching began to go away. Java eventually was well enough to go to a foster home with another dog, and it was discovered that she had quite the alpha personality; but she never showed any aggression and never barked. She just went about her business and anticipated feeding time (she was a very hungry gal)!
Now, Java is a happy and healthy dog with beautiful fur and an even prettier personality. Thanks to all of the hard work that the people in her life put towards her gradual recovery, Java was able to go from a sick and wounded dog, to a happy and prospering pup. If you have a rescue dog in your life or perhaps an Australian Shepherd mix that reminds you of Java's personality, this name may be perfect to consider for your own furry friend!
