Dog Names Ending in ua

There have been many medical advances in the veterinary world and one of the most recent beneficiaries of these advances is a dog named Joshua. Joshua was found living on the streets in Bulgaria when he was rescued and taken to the UK. There, Joshua received an Xray which showed that his spine had been completely broken in two which would explain why he was unable to move his back legs. However, Joshua was able to undergo surgery and, through a high tech, complicated procedure, his spine was repaired. In fact, Joshua was the first dog ever to undergo successful spinal reattachment and his surgery was considered to be pioneering.   

The woman who saved Joshua's life is named Michelle and she is the Dean of a rescue group in the UK called K9 Rescue. The group serves severely injured dogs, doing complicated and innovative surgeries to help save one dog at a time. They also team up with local vets to help the dogs recover afterward.

Following his operation, Joshua started water therapy where he would swim with the help of an aid. This enabled him to gain range of motion in his back legs and build muscle without putting his full body weight on his paws. Joshua was also fitted with a customized wheelchair that helped support the lower half of his body, allowing him to still use his back paws but in a limited manner. 

The rescue group also uses homeopathic remedies paired with conventional medicine to help Joshua heal and all of the efforts seem to be working! Joshua is able to control his back legs and goes for daily walks using his wheelchair. He is currently in a foster home with where his recovery continues. Joshua is expected to be able to walk without assistance within a year which is a true miracle. He also now wags his tail every chance he gets!
