Introduction
Dog Names Ending in 'ti' in Pop Culture
Moti, which means King in Oromo or Pearl in Hindi, was a five-year-old German Shepherd dog who saved his family’s life and even took a bullet for them. We have all heard stories about animal heroes, and they are all pretty spectacular, but this one is pawsitively pawesome. The Patel family adopted Moti to help guard their family and home as well as be a family pet, and they definitely got more than they thought they would.
One night in October of 2007 when the family was at home in Florence, New Jersey, a man with a gun broke into their home. When Moti saw the man, he immediately started to bark and growl at the bad guy. The family was asleep, but they came running when they heard the commotion, just in time to see the intruder being backed into a corner by their brave pup.
The would-be robber shot Moti and ran away, without getting any money or hurting anyone else, which is good because the family had their two small children with them that day. Moti was rushed to the local animal hospital and had emergency surgery but recovered quickly and was back at home guarding the Patel family again in a few short weeks. Also, because of how brave Moti was, he was awarded the 2007 Dog of the Year Award.
Another great story about a furific dog is the meeting of Peter Scherer and Yeti Spaghetti and how this cool dog got his unique name. Peter adopted this homeless Great Pyrenees and Labrador mix from a foster family in Southbury, Connecticut. The pup had been found abandoned in a barn a few weeks before, and although he was originally named Axel by the foster family, he did not seem to like the name because he ignored them when he was called.
A few weeks after getting him, Peter decided on the name Yet when he saw him running around playing in the snow in his backyard. He looked like a big wild animal, and the first thing that came to mind was Yeti, so that was his new name. And he seemed to like it because he started coming when Peter called him. Several months later, when Yeti helped himself to a plate of spaghetti from the dinner table, Yeti got his second name, Spaghetti. So, that is how this adorable dog got his funny name, Yeti Spaghetti.
Dog Name Ending in 'ti' Considerations
Finding the furfect name for your new pet can be fun. You can choose a name depending on your favorite hobby or even your work. Or you could even name your new pooch after your favorite food or drink like Spaghetti, Biscotti, or Manicotti. If you are into art, you can name your pup Graffiti, and if you are left-handed, maybe you could name them Lefti. There are a lot of cute choices for dog names nowadays. Not like before when everyone named their pet Spot or Fido. Those are cute but not very original. And they don’t end in ‘ti’ either.
So, if your dog is a large breed like a Great Pyrenees, maybe Yeti or Banditi, or if your dog is a short breed like a Corgi or Dachshund, Kondrati is Old Greek for squat so that would be an adorable choice. If you have a red dog, try Chianti or Rusti and maybe Dusti for a gray pup. You can also choose to spend some quality time with your new fur buddy before picking a name. This will give you time to get to know their personality and any habits and quirks they have. No matter what name you choose, make sure you really like it because you will be using it a lot.
