Introduction
Dog Names Ending in oi in Pop Culture
If you haven't yet heard of the Disney movie “High School Musical,” you may have been living under a rock or just sleeping for the past decade or so. Even if you have never watched the movies (there are several), you have probably seen a clip or heard a song from the movie on television. The first “High School Musical” aired in 2006 as a Disney Channel Original Movie and it was focused on a fictional high school in New Mexico called East High School.
The film follows two of the most popular students, Troy Bolton, who is played by Zac Efron and Gabriella Montez, played by Vanessa Anne Hudgens. Troy is the captain of the school basketball team, the Wildcats, and Gabriella is a super smart but shy student. The two try out to be the lead characters in the school’s new musical and end up falling in love. Their classmates, Sharpay Evans, played by Ashley Tisdale and her brother Ryan Evans, played by Lucas Grabeel are in the musical as well.
Sharpay is the co-president of the drama club and is a spoiled and greedy rich girl with a bit of an attitude. Her best furiend is her petite pooch, Boi, who is a tiny Yorkshire Terrier with a huge personalty. Boi may be small but he is tough and smart, and when he is angry, he barks with a huge “ruff” that can scare other any other dogs around. Although Boi was not around for the first “High School Musical,” he was in the second and third films and was a special guest star on several shows such as “Kim Possible,” “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” and “House of Mouse.”
In a spinoff of the movies, Sharpay and Boi had their own movie called “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.” In this film, Sharpay and Boi go to New York for Sharpay to pursue a Broadway career, but it is Boi who ends up getting the first acting job. He actually auditions for a musical part in the Broadway play, “A Girl’s Best Friend,” and gets the part, which stars Amber Lee Adams, a pawpular Broadway singer. However, Amber gets jealous and is exposed as being evil, so Sharpay gets the part, and the two best friends get to star together.
There is another pooch there named Countess, a Cocker Spaniel who Boi ends up falling in love with. The two get together and their owners, Sharpay and Peyton Levertt, a rich boy, become good friends. The show is a hit, and everyone lives happily ever after.
Dog Name Ending in oi Considerations
When making a big decision like getting a new fur-ever friend, you have to be sure your house is ready first. Make sure your home and yard are dog-proof. Pick up and put away anything you don’t want to be chewed up because pups love to chew on anything they can find. And if you have a backyard, get a fence so your poochie cannot get out and get lost or hurt. You may also want to get some fun doggy toys, a soft dog bed, and some yummy dog food and treats. Then all you gotta do is figure out the ideal name for your pooch.
So, let’s talk about some good monikers for your pupster. Many new dog owners pick a title by what their little fur buddy looks like. For instance, Roi is French for red-haired and great for a red dog, Rhinoceroi is a cute name for a large gray dog, Koi is a fantastic name for an orange doggo, and Toi is a pawesome name for a petite pooch. You can also go by your pup’s personality such as Joi for a happy pup, Ponyboi for a doggo that likes horses, and Lovejoi is just the fit for a lovable pup.
