Introduction
Dog Names Ending in 'le' in Pop Culture
There were a lot of heroes of 9/11, but Roselle's story is different. This beautiful Labrador Retriever was a guide dog for the blind and was on the 78th floor of Tower Two with her human, Michael Hingson, taking a nap under his desk, when the airplane hit the tower. But she did not panic. She immediately went to work leading Michael to the nearest stairwell and led him and 30 other people down almost 1500 stairs to get out of the tower. It took over an hour, but Roselle never faltered and stayed calm through the whole ordeal, unlike most of the humans around her.
Michael and the other survivors said that while everyone else was screaming and running, Roselle kept her cool and led them to safety in a nearby subway station. Others followed Roselle out of the area because even though they were not blind before, they were once the dust and smoke started to consume them. She and another guide dog, Salty, who saved his owner that day were awarded a Dickin Medal in March of 2002 for their bravery and they also received medals from the British Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and Roselle was named the 2011 American Hero Dog of the Year by the American Humane Society.
Another hero, Belle, which means beautiful in French, is more than just a pretty face to her owner, Kevin Weaver. In 2006, the three-year-old Beagle saved Kevin’s life by contacting 911 when his human was in a diabetic seizure. Belle is a trained diabetes and seizure-detecting dog and has been trained to find Kevin’s phone if there is an emergency. But Belle did not always have such a role. In fact, she had been returned to the pet store where she was bought two times by buyers who were not satisfied with her for various reasons. Kevin saw her in the pet store window and decided right then that she was his dog. He bought her that day, and she has been with him ever since.
Because Belle was trained to detect anomalies in sugar levels, she keeps Kevin healthy by licking his nose several times a day to read his sugar levels. If she senses a problem, she will whine and paw at him until he checks his sugar. The day his blood sugar dropped it happened so quickly that Belle didn't have a chance to warn him. But luckily, Belle is also trained to get Kevin’s phone for him in an emergency, and if he is incapacitated, she can even press the number 9 to call 911. Just by biting on the number 9, Belle was able to contact the emergency operators.
Kevin is just happy to have Belle as his best friend and family member. He and Belle have been together for many years, and she has been by his side every day, helping him to stay safe and healthy. He said that he is convinced that he would have died if Belle had not been with him that day.
Dog Name Ending in 'le' Considerations
You bring your new puppy home and get them a new bed, toys, food, treats, and a new collar and leash, but you still don’t have a name for your new doggo. This is sometimes the most difficult decision you can make for your pup. You want it to fit your dog’s personality as well as their looks and breed if possible. But you have already decided that you want your little buddy to have the same initials as you, which are L. E., so you could use names that end in ‘le.’
For example, if you have a Chinese Shar-Pei dog, you could name them Wrinkle, or you could choose the name Tangle for a Puli or a Komondor or any other breed with a uniquely tangled coat. Dogs with a black tipped coat may be named Sable, a mixture of black with gold, tan, or brown may be called Brindle, and Merle would be furfect for a dog with a marbled coat. And that pooch that never seems to move may be named Idle while a howling dog could be named Yodle or Bugle. If you work as a tax consultant, you may want to call your canine kid Deductible, even though you cannot actually count them on your taxes. There are infinite possibilities, and we have started you off with some ideas we found for you.
