Dog Names Ending in ba

One of the most popular names ending in "ba" is Simba and there are quite a few dogs named Simba that have made headlines. One of the most heroic Simba's out there is a massive 110 pound Pit Bull who lived in New Orleans, Louisiana. Simba belonged to Theresa Buggage who was a New Orleans native trying to relocate. Buggage was actually searching for a home out west right before the disastrous hurricane Katrina hit the coast. In a panic about the severity of the storm, Buggage called her son to check in on her dog but she learned that her dog was all alone in the attic of her home.

Buggage jumped on a plane immediately, arriving in New Orleans just before the storm hit. Buggage made it home and spent the entirety of the hurricane huddled in the bathroom under blankets with Simba by her side. The roof of the house was ripped off and almost every window broke but Buggage and Simba survived. 

The next morning, Buggage was assessing the neighborhood damage and heard a rumbling. The levies which held back the Mississippi River had broken and water was rushing down her street. Buggage grabbed Simba's leash, a few cans of dog food and started to evacuate. However, when she stepped out the door, she was immediately pulled under water by strong currents. Buggage's first thought was that she would pull Simba under water with her so she let go of the leash, hoping to give the dog a chance to get away. 

When she finally reached the surface of the water, Buggage saw Simba swimming next to her. The dog grabbed Buggage by the wrist and began to pull her toward a part of the city where the water had not yet reached. 

Simba paddled hard and got Buggage to dry land, saving his owner from drowning. From there, the duo made a four mile trek to a convention center where thousands of refugees were waiting for supplies. After three days of sharing a bottle of water and food, Simba and Buggage were loaded onto evacuation buses where Buggage had to beg the driver to allow her dog to come on the bus. From there, the pair went to another evacuation center where Simba was checked by a veterinarian and given a clean bill of health. Buggage rented a car and drove to her sister's house. 

Years later, Simba passed away at 17 years old but his heroic act will live on forever. He truly saved Buggage's life and she still has the bite mark scar on her wrist to remind her of the dog that pulled her to safety.
