But this is a Devil May Cry 3 guide, so let's focus on that particular Cerberus! In Devil May Cry 3, Cerberus guides the entrance to Temen-ni-gru, a demonic temple sealed away by Sparda, a demon swordsman (dark knight) years ago. Like 2,000 years ago, to be more precise!

In the game, Cerberus wields ice, not fire, which has become much more prevalent in other mediums. With this elemental power, Cerberus arms itself in ice armor, showers his enemies with icicles, and even burps up icebergs. Yes, icebergs! To make him even more intense, he isn't just a three-headed dog with ice powers guarding a demon temple... each one of his heads does a different attack. The other two heads don't just sit back and watch as you fight one head, they all attack!

That means when Dante is up in the air, attacking fast with his blade, the three heads are lunging at him, a paw is stomping, a head is burping icebergs, while the other two are summoning icicles from the ceiling or the ground. Once Cerberus is defeated, he willingly gives his soul to Dante, questioning his humanity. Dante then takes the soul in the form of the Devil Arm – essentially a triple nunchaku, capable of reaching far and wide, hitting enemies with the power of ice.
