Introduction
Cowboy Bebop Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
Together, Ein and Ed could conquer the world. Ed is a brilliant hacker, and Ein was the test subject of a research facility. Of course, the test didn't harm him, it actually enhanced his intelligence, so he's best known as "data dog." He was modified at the lab until Abdul Hakim, a criminal and notorious pet thief, stole him with the intention of making a profit. Of course, Ein being amazing, got away from the thief when he took him to a pet shop to sell him off. Ein jumped, freed some other animals in the store, caused chaos, and got away.
Of course, Spike, possibly the best character in the series, was present at the time, and drawn to the commotion, followed the dog. Long story short, Ein and Spike met up, tried to trap Hakim (because taking him into custody for money is what bounty hunters do), but Hakim ended up getting away, taking Ein with him again.
Only this time, when Ein woke up after being knocked unconscious, he interfered with Hakim's driving, jumped out of the car, and was saved by Spike. The rest is history. From then on, Ein was part of the Bebop crew. And when he met Ed, well, it was love at first sight. Ed, being as crazy and quirky as she is, is the ideal best friend any dog could ask for.
Some of the things Ein enjoys doing are cuddling, eating, helping out with controls or driving, floating and spending time with the rest of the crew. He's a very silly dog, but he always has his signature straight face. It's rare to see him sad, or anything else, really. He does smile from time to time, mainly by squinting and sticking out his tongue.
The best way to think of Ein is as a curious, quick to decide things, go-getter type of dog, which makes him the perfect addition to the crew. He's far from shy, but he is protective, and once he finds his family, he's willing to do anything for them. We'd all be so lucky as to have our own personal Ein's, but sadly, that's just not realistic. Oh well, there's always Cowboy Bebop.
Cowboy Bebop Inspired Dog Name Considerations
Instead, focus on getting to know your dog first. Is the dog big? What's the size, breed, gender, and personality? What toys does your dog prefer? Does your dog have quirky behavior you've never seen another dog do? Good names celebrate a dog's originality. Names that make sense and reflect the dog's identity. And if they're recognizable names, like Cowboy Bebop names tend to be, then it makes for an easy reference for curious outsiders. Naming a dog Ein would let people know that your dog is friendly and smart, and probably serves as your needy, clingy sidekick. So remember, pay attention to who your dog is first. Then decide on a name.
