Comoros Dog Names

A well-known professional football player from Comoros is Jimmy Abdo, who has played on their national team. Jimmy is also the name of a well-known pooch in pop culture.

Jimmy Choo, a Pit Bull, was living with his person in an empty New York apartment. His person, Rafael Mantesso, had just gotten divorced and his apartment was bare. At the time, Jimmy was not popular with his neighbors, who went out of their way to avoid the pooch. Mantesso’s only other possession in the apartment was his cellphone. The walls, floor, closet and shelves were bare.

A lot has changed in three years.  Jimmy is now a very popular pooch as a result of the Instagram sketches and photos of him that went viral, as well as his own book titled “A Dog Named Jimmy”. There is even a handbag collection inspired by Jimmy for the high-end brand Jimmy Choo (for who the pooch was named). Jimmy Choo also has future plans such as a calendar, endorsements and a charitable foundation.

Jimmy’s fame came about by accident. When he and Mantesso were alone in their empty apartment, Jimmy did was Mantesso described as a happy dance through the empty rooms. Mantesso could not resist taking photos of the enthusiastic Jimmy who loved the empty space. It was hard for Mantesso to not be caught up in Jimmy’s energy; he may have thought he had lost everything but it turned out that the most important possession, his pooch, was right there. Jimmy is a white dog with ginger and red ears that contrasted nicely with the white walls and ceilings. While Jimmy was having fun, Mantesso took some white cardboard and drew a skeleton with a red heart and put it in front of Jimmy. He then took a picture. After putting it on Instagram, Mantesso and his pup kept going. Ideas came fast; Mantesso would get Jimmy in a pose and the pup would stay still while he took pictures.

Mantesso noted that Jimmy kept him going at a down time in his life. Because of Jimmy he had to go out and take a walk two times a day. Since he had to buy food for Jimmy, he would buy food for himself. Jimmy kept him motivated to take pictures and he enjoyed the work so much that the pair spent 90 days working together without interruption.

Jimmy has received fan mail from over 100 countries and Mantesso has plans for the Jimmy Foundation, which will fund pet food drives, spay and neuter clinics and adoption campaigns in shelters throughout Brazil.
