Captain Britain Inspired Dog Names

Taking things back to basics, Meggan was born to a British Romani family - in a camp located somewhere near Fenborough Station. For those of you who don't know, the Romani people have always faced a large amount of adversity from other groups over the centuries. Add Meggan's mutant abilities to the equation and you can see that the young girl would have to overcome a myriad of prejudices if she was going to survive in the world. Meggan's parents tried to protect her to a fault, prohibiting her from going outside during the day and only allowing her to watch television as a means of learning about other people. Because of these extreme efforts, Meggan wouldn't become truly literate until she reached adulthood. 

It's around that time when she'd meet Captain Britain for the first time, albeit under very strange and tragic circumstances; unable to fully control her abilities, Meggan used to transform into a wolf-like creature on the night of full moon. This transformation would occur with or without her consent and she was very violent and dangerous in this form. So dangerous, in fact, that Captian Britain had to intervene during one of her sprees.

The two super beings battled it out, with Meggan's bestial strength matching Captain Britain's mystical might. The two fought for a long time until a bystander - a teenage boy name Mickey that Meggan had previously befriended - was fatally struck by a piece of debris. Horrified, Meggan fled the scene and ran off. She wouldn't encounter Brian again until they'd meet at Mickey's funeral. After learning of Meggan's tragic backstory, Brian took her back to Braddock Manor. There,  the two of them would form a bond that would ultimately lead to their marriage years later on down the line. Even before getting married, Brian helped Meggan adapt to the normal world and refine her abilities. Before long, she'd be fighting against crime and injustice just like her hero and future husband.

Pop culture has a famous dog named Meggan within its ranks; Gwen Stefani, singer extraordinaire, once had a Lhasa Apso named Meggan. She and the pup were best buddies with Meggan following Gwen everywhere. The singer nicknamed her dog Lamb after the sweet lamb of the nursery rhyme - a different sort of Meggan than the one featured in Captain Britain!
