Moon Hee and Moon So-Ri are both famous actresses who come from Busan, while Moonie is a Chihuahua who shot to fame in Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2 in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Moonie played the role of Bruiser, a small Chihuahua that accompanied Elle everywhere. Elle, played by Reese Witherspoon, is a sorority girl who is trying to win back her ex-boyfriend. To do so, she works to get a Juris Doctor degree. In Legally Blonde 2, where Moonie is also present, the film is about trying to ban animal testing under a law called Bruiser’s Bill.

Moonie, who played Bruiser in both films, was born in 1998 to trainer Sue Chip who has owned him since he was a puppy. Apart from starring in the Legally Blonde movies, Moonie was also present with Reese Witherspoon in 2010 when she unveiled her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Moon the actresses who share a variation of Moonie’s name are famous in Busan. Moon Hee was born in Busan in 1947 and has been an actress since 1965. She attended the Seorabeol Art College, gained her film and theater major, and started in Lee Man-hee’s film called Heukmaek. Her rival actresses called her one of the “Troika” (a group of three), along with Nam Jeong-im and Yoon Jeong-hee. She then retired from acting in the 1970s when she married the Hankook vice president Jang Gang-jae.

Moon So-Ri is also another actress from Busan who shot to fame on the stage. She is also a film director and screenwriter known for her roles in the 2002 film Oasis and A Good Lawyer’s Wife. Moon So-Ri graduated with a degree in education and joined a theater group called Hangang. From there, she appeared in short films and plays such as To the Spring Mountain and Black Cut. Her first film role was in Peppermint Candy directed by Lee Chang-Dong. However, she shot to fame in Oasis with her exceptional acting skills.
