Introduction

The Bonsai Bulldogge is a new designer breed that looks just like the Olde English Bulldog but in a much smaller size. In fact, they are under 12 inches tall and weigh less than 25 pounds. They can come in any color, but they always have a dark muzzle and ears. Even though these pooches are small, they are pawsitively humongous when it comes to personality. The Bonsai Bulldogge is still rare, but if you are lucky enough to get one, you will want more because these petite pups are full of fun and can do everything the full-sized Bulldog does and more.

Bonsai Bulldogge Dog Name Considerations

The developers of this designer dog breed, Hammerhead Kennels, originally wanted a pup who was petite but full of pep and personality. For those who love Bulldogs but live in apartments or condominiums or a small home where a full-sized dog would not be comfortable, this canine kid is perfect. While researching Toy and Miniature Bulldogs, the creator Laura Kelsch found that while those kinds of Bulldogs were cute, they just did not meet all of the characteristics of the real Bulldog. She started crossing French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Pugs, and a few other breeds to create a whole different and unique pup and called it the Bonsai Bulldogge (Bulldog).

Choosing the ideal name for your Bonsai Bulldogge is going to be fun, but take your time because there are many to choose from. Since Bonsai is a Japanese name, you can choose from thousands of Japanese names such as Bai, which means purity, or Liling, which is Japanese for white jasmine. Huang means yellow in Japanese and is perfect for a pup with a golden coat. Ping means peace, Li means beautiful, or combine the two for your beautiful and peaceful poochie. There are also a bunch of famous Bulldogs like Tillman the skateboarding dog or Meatball, the Bulldog on the film, “Little Nicky”, owned by Adam Sandler.
