Auvergne Pointing Dog Names

The Auvergne Pointing Dog is mainly found out hunting in the fields rather than in the show ring. Therefore, it is truly special to see an Auvergne Pointing Dog making waves in the dog show world. That is why Feita, or Khyannes Fata Morgana, is such a special Auvergne Pointing Dog. Feita has earned nine Certificats d’Aptitude au Championnat International de Beaute (CACIB) which are international certificates awarded to dogs given an excellent rating at conformation shows. Feita holds multiple championships including from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Baltic. Feita was also able to earn her International Show Champion (CIE) for her working abilities in the field. In 2011, Feita was named the European Junior Winner and the Polish Junior Club winner. She continued her winning streak in 2012 when she was named the Lithuanian Winner, Latvian Winner, Club Winner, and Estonian Winner. Feita was shown in 2013 and was named the Latvian Winner, Baltic Winner, and Club Winner. She ended her show career in 2014 and was named the Latvian Winner and Club Winner. Although Feita has retired from the show ring, she still enjoys competing in hunting trials in her home country of Latvia.

Feita was bred by Timea Szoke in Hungary. She comes from multiple champion parents. Her father is Int, HR, UA, RO CH, HR JCH, VKV, HAD Diamant de la Saligue aux Becasses. Her mother is Int, UA, HR, RO CH, HR, UA, CR JCH, European Winner 2008, VKV HAD Jacqueline Piaf Dama Krkonose. Feita is only one of several Auvergne Pointing Dogs that have been bred by Szoke. Dedicated breeders continue to work diligently to preserve the breed. Enthusiasts of the Auvergne Pointing Dog are putting the breed in the spotlight by being a part of dog shows, hunting trials, socialization events, and social media blasts. Feita lives with her family at Putnusuni Kennel in Latvia and has a sister named Jara, a German Shorthaired Pointer. When not in the field honing their hunting skills or showing off in the conformation ring, Feita and Jara enjoy hanging out at home lounging in their beds or nosing through the backyard looking for things to get into. Putnusuni Kennel does breed German Shorthaired Pointers and Auvergne Pointing Dogs, however, they do not have puppies available often, especially since Feita is currently their only Auvergne Pointing Dog and finding a male that will compliment Feita is difficult to find.
