Introduction
Assassination Classroom is a Japanese manga series transformed into anime written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui. It follows the story of a large octopus-like creature called Korosensei, who works as a homeroom teacher in a junior high, but is actually a powerful being. His students learn about the assassination and are dedicated to eliminating him so they can prevent the destruction of the Earth. The students of his class are misfits and are separated from other students who perform better, and they are taught English by Irina Jelavic, a professional assassin hired to kill Korosensei.
Assassination Classroom Inspired Dog Names in Pop Culture
Every dog story should be the story of love, a warm home, and endless cuddles and fetches. It should be a story of cute strolls and tasty treats, not a story of abuse, neglect, and suffering. Unfortunately, one brave doggo from Romania went through the latter. Irina is a cross between a Collie and German Shepherd from Romania who went through hell and back. Her cruel owner mistreated her in horrific ways.
Luckily, she was found, after three days of suffering, by the British animal charity Safe Rescue. Locals contacted the charity and pled for them to come and take the dog to safety as they were afraid to hurt Irina even more by trying to move her without proper training. She was promptly taken to the vet who informed the charity members that the doggo was mistreated before she was dumped in the garden where they found her, and he performed three operations on her. She also had a uterus infection that had to be treated, which they also did.
After this horrible situation, Irina was put up for adoption, and luckily, not long after a couple from Norfolk, Kevin and Claire Quinn fostered her, until she found a permanent home in Reading in the UK. Kevin said that he was warned that Irina might be traumatized and aggressive because of the horrible things that happened to her, but it turned out that she is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs ever! She forgave humans for mistreating her and opened her heart for a worthy person who will love and take care of her.
She stands as an example of the kind and forgiving nature of the canines who are able to put their past behind them and continue with their lives, without resentment and only with positivity. The adorable Irina made a full recovery and is now happily living with her new family, but she still bears the scars that remind everyone just how horrible some people are, and just how amazing and warm dogs can be.
Assassination Classroom Inspired Dog Name Considerations
If you are still wiping away the tears after Irina’s upsetting story, you may have already decided that you want to name your dog after her, a brave, kind, and selfless doggo who managed to escape hell and find a better life elsewhere. If that is the case, you’d be happy to know that Irina is also the name of one of the main characters from Assassination Classroom, Irina Jelavic, an English teacher in Kunugigaoka Junior High School who comes from Romania’s neighbor country – Serbia. Not a bad place to start if you are thinking about your new pup’s name!
Another option is to name your doggo after Irina’s husband, Tadaomi Karasuma, an agent for the Ministry of Defense in Japan who was sent to supervise Korosensei. Naming your pup after Yūma Isogai is another fantastic choice, as this character is known as one of the kindest, most reliable, and most cheerful students in his class, and he is also an underdog from a low-income family who became a male class representative. He is modest, helpful, and a good leader, which are all traits that we wish our dogs (and children perhaps) will have when they grow up!
