Artist Inspired Dog Names

Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most celebrated artists in the world and one of the most genius creators that ever lived. Therefore, it is no surprise that many people and dogs alike bear his name. One of such dogs is the lovely Labrador Retriever Vincent, a star of the hit series Lost. Lost is one of those shows that can leave even the most attentive ones confused and wondering just what is going on with those people now, but everyone can agree on one thing, that Vincent was definitely the cutest cast member and the most adorable character in the series.

The incredibly handsome Vincent was the only non-human survivor of the dreaded Oceanic Flight 815, and his time spent on the island is nothing short of adventurous. Vincent began his island escapade by exploring the island where he became best friends with Walt, the little boy survivor. Walt spends much of his time looking for Vincent who seldom gets lost in the jungle. However, even though it might seem not-ideal that he goes off wandering around the island, Vincent is actually a very good boy. He managed to wake up the whole camp when the intruders, wild boars, were to come close to the survivors, he always protected Walt, and was a constant emotional support to many of the Oceanic flight survivors.

Vincent was one of the main reasons the gang found the DHARMA van, as he was the one who found the key on a rabbit’s foot in the jungle. Therefore, it is safe to say that the survivors would not be as insightful, as successful, and as socialized as they were if it weren’t for Vincent.

The great Vincent van Gogh, Vincent’s name buddy, was a Dutch painter who wowed the world with his masterpieces, and who was also quite fond of dogs. His famous saying “If you don’t have a dog - at least one - there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life” is one that most dog lovers can subscribe to. And how can we not? Dogs make life more beautiful, make us realize the value of friendship, and lifelong love, and our pets are the most influential “people” in our lives. All we can hope for is that we will someday become the people our dogs think we are, and isn’t that worth striving for?
