Amsterdam Dog Names

When talking about Amsterdam, one cannot but think about many famous artists that lived and created their masterpieces in this city. Perhaps it is the small cobbled streets, the exposed brick buildings, the numerous canals that flow peacefully through the city, or the parks that offer a piece of mother nature in the midst of an urban setting, no one really knows why Amsterdam is so prolific when it comes to art and artists, but one thing is certain – some of the greatest artistic minds have shaped their personalities and perfected their skills here. Such is the case with one of the most famous painters in the world, Vincent van Gogh.

Vincent van Gogh is also the name of the lovely doggo from a TV series Lost who stole our hearts with the first frame he appeared in. The adorable canine was the only member of the Oceanic Flight 815 who did not walk on two legs, however, that did not stop him from becoming a fan favorite and having many adventures that some of us can only dream about. Vincent became friends with a boy named Walt, and they grew fond of each other, becoming best of mates and regularly exploring the island together.

Vincent was the one who found the DHARMA van, helping survivors of the flight locate it and actually enter it by finding the key on the rabbit’s foot during one of his many explorations of the jungle that surrounded them. The handsome doggo was the protector of the weak on the island, regularly hanging around Walt to make sure nothing happens to him, and later being around Shannon, being the good guard doggo that he is. Although Vincent wasn’t happy when Walt and his father Michael went on a raft to search for help, he did accept Shannon and managed to form a bond with her too and comfort her after the loss of Boone, her step brother. Shannon and Vincent were friends until her untimely death.

Vincent is also the only character in the show who managed to survive, which can be seen in the final scene when he is lying next to Jack who is dying. During the course of his life, Vincent had many owners, such as Brian Porter, Susan Lloyd, and the famous Michael and Walt, only to end up with Rose and Bernard Nadler in the end.
