The plot of the show is centered on the two girls who work as waitresses at the fictional Williamsburg Diner. Being a graduate of business studies, Caroline takes over the technicalities of the business while Max works as the baker of the cupcakes. A huge part of the show’s premise is focused on the success and failures of the business and at the end of every episode, a tally of the business’ earnings is shown.

2 Broke Girls features numerous characters with interesting and unique personalities. Some of them have famous canine namesakes in pop culture. Perhaps one of the most recognizable dogs with a 2 Broke Girls name is the main protagonist of the 2015 adventure film Max.

The film tells the story of a Belgian Malinois named Max and his handler, a United States Marine named Kyle Wincott. The two are currently on a mission in Afghanistan. During a fight out in the battlefield, Kyle was killed in a gunfight while Max was seriously injured by an explosion. When sent home with the remains of Kyle, Max starts acting out.
